I suggest you check out this set of photos on flickr. Wow...the captions nail it.

"My good friend Will Stauffer, with me in the background looking... poorly led. I like this picture because it says a lot about this war, the only thing it's missing is a random corpse of a non-combatant.

Here we are, fucking wet as shit, had just driven through a road flooded with raw sewage and dead animals, we're out in the middle of this shitty mud field, and we could be brutally killed at any moment. And here we are just hanging out in Baghdad."

Flickr Book!

Congratulations to Richard Giles on his book being published! I just got two copies of it and have started reading through it...

I was beyond tickled to discover that a picture of my Mom was put on the cover and in the book! How cool is that? What a great, early Mother's Day present this is. Rich first contacted me in regards to the Photobooth and we chatted back and forth regarding my personal use of flickr as well. I was quite blown away to see the photobooth, myself, and the picture of my Mom.

I think I blogged about it before, but my Mom has the most amazing laughing fits in the history of the world. They are a sight to behold. I was lucky enough to be sitting next to her, with my camera in my lap, when she burst out in hysterical laughter over Christmas. It was absolutely fantastic and I was able to catch the entire thing.

Go out and get yourself a copy of the book:

Finally back!

After a multitude of problems, I finally am back! Lets see:
  • Linksys does not play not with bulletproof ftp server. Tried a bunch of different things, no go.
  • RCN does not truly offer static IP addresses. They lock the IP to your MAC address. So...if you change routers, you have to spoof your MAC.
  • Bulletproof just stopped working. Onto a new ftp server.
So it is great to finally be blogging again...
