Cupcakes

Dennis turned me onto the blog from Penelope Trunk. I have been giving it some time, enjoying the writing. But today? Hells yeah!
You might say, why not cake? Why not
cookies? Cake is hard to transport and hard to dole out. And cookies
are not as fun. You want people to think you're fun. People like fun.
If I ever work in an office again, I am definitely going to make cupcakes. Because I'm fun. Yep. I'm fun.

Music ID

This is a damn cool technology that has been attempted many different times. I would love to have it and use it...however, @ $.99 a song, I would only really be into it if it would not only determine the song but then buy it for me. And that purchase would need to be from iTunes, at a minimum, though I would much rather it come from allTunes. I have been fairly aggrivated lately at songs that are not in mp3.

I used a Rio Karma for a long time prior to getting an iPod. I still have it and use it occasionally, actually. However, when I was first burning my CD collection, the default setting was for wma. Didn't matter that much at the time, as the Rio plays that just fine. I soon discovered that it was not burning mp3's and changed the settings, but did not go back through my collection to reburn the previous discs. Well, well, well. Now I am stuck with music that I can't play on all of my devices.

Back to burning the discs again...

Pat Metheny

I have recently rediscovered my love of Pat Metheny's music!  I went back through my CD's to burn all of the Metheny discs to my iPod and have enjoyed rediscovering so many of the classic tunes.  He is just an incredibly passionate and sensitive musician.  It is also amazing to hear his music change through the years -- nothing like listening to First Circle and Imaginary Day back to back.  Wow...

Well, I was quite excited to find this on Google Video.  So damn cool...

The Werepad has closed

The end of an era

I went to some incredibly fun and diverse parties at the Werepad and am very sad to see that it has closed. The Werepad was always on my, "Oh my God, I forgot about the ... " list, which is very unfortunate. In a city where we spend so much time revisiting many of the same venues, it is dissappointing that I did not venture there more often.
